A Decision Making Model for Replacing Non-Repairable Systems
Authors:
Ardeshir Ahmadi
Abstract:
The classical model for finding optimal preventive replacement policies is revisited. In minimizing expected cost per unit time in a cycle, we first introduce discount factors since the present value of the replacement cost depends on the time when replacement actually occurs. Then certainty equivalent is used to take risk into account arising from the randomness of the cost per unit time, since the time of failure is uncertain. A simple numerical example with Weibull variable illustrates the methodology.

Bread wheat tolerance against drought at early growth stages and grain filling period
Authors:
Vahid Mollasadeghi;Taregh Ghanifathi; Bahram Masoumzadeh; Ali Ahadi Aghahasanbeyglo
Abstract:
Field and in vitro experiments were conducted on some bread wheat genotypes in order to evaluate their tolerance against drought. During field experiment, 12 bread wheat genotypes were evaluated based on randomized complete blocks design with three replications under non-stressed and terminal humidity stress conditions. The treatments used for in vitro evaluation included factorial combination of 12 genotypes being studied and two levels of drought stress (0 and -0.5 Mega Pascal) based on complete randomized design with three replications. There was no significant difference between genotypes being studied under non-stressed condition, whereas the difference was significant under stressed conditions. Results from analysis on correlation between drought tolerance and grain yield indices indicated that STI, MP and GMP were useful for indentifying high yielding genotypes under both drought-stressed and non-stressed conditions. In general, by using drought tolerance indices based on grain yield we identified genotypes such as Tous, 4057 and 4041 as tolerant against drought stress. During in vitro study, increasing the level of drought stress led to decreased value of all the measured traits. Germination percentage was more susceptible to drought than germination rate, whereas radicle length was more susceptible to drought than seedling length. Germination vigor was identified as the most susceptible trait to drought among all the traits being studied. During in vitro study, Gobustan exhibited the highest tolerance against drought in germination stage among all the genotypes being studied. In this investigation, we did not observe any significant relation between traits measured in vitro and STI. Based on the results, germination traits are not efficient direct criteria for selecting genotypes tolerant to drought in early growth stages.

A Secure Routing Protocol based on AODV Protocol to validate and improve their privacy on Ad-hoc Networks
Authors:
Edris Khezri; Esmaeil Zeynali: Hadi Sargolzaee
Abstract:
Ad-hoc Networks are specific types of wireless networks that are composed of a set of moving nods and without a stable substructure [1]. Routing and privacy issues of these networks are very noticeable because of the lack of a stable substructure and accidental movement of their elements [2].Up to now so many algorithms have been proposed for secure routing on Ad-hoc Networks that most of these algorithms are concentrated on the identification of the nods and creation of a secure rout but they don’t consider privacy of the created rout. The proposed protocol in the present study is a secure routing algorithm called high-secure Ad-hoc On Demand Distance Vector (HSAODV).This proposed protocol includes two steps: at the first step origin, destination and middle nods identify each other by digital signature and asymmetric algorithms and at the second step they are used for improving data privacy. The proposed protocol is designed based on AODV base protocol and persist against most of routing attacks such as black hole.

Authors:
Leila Torki; Molud Eshqabadi
Abstract:
The present paper is implemented to introduce a very suitable model for prediction of world gold price. Data are time series of daily world gold price in U.S. dollars and include first week of January 2008 to fourth week of January 2012. The number of 1002 observations (data by the end of 2011) from the above mentioned are used for modeling and estimating the coefficients of the models and also 15 observations (data of January 2012) are used for prediction out of samples. For improving the prediction of this paper, we separated “trend” and “cycle” series from world gold price efficiency series by using filtering approach. Then we estimated Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average Model (ARIMA) for investigating the gold price efficiency and its filtered series. At the end we compared the functions of these 2 models in gold price modeling for investigating de trending effects in improving models’ functions. For more studies on nonlinear effects on related series, we performed tests like: variance ratio test, attractor dimension test, Regression Error Specification Tests (RESET), Mcleod-Li tests.

Authors:
Asgar Mohammadi Mehr; Zahra Alipour
Abstract:
The main goal of the present research is to study the effects of personality characteristics on the amount of stock risk selected by the investors. To do so, we carried out a simple random sampling and selected 211 persons from among the research statistical population and gathered the needed data through questionnaires. The questionnaire utilized to measure the personality characteristics was a 60 questions Neo test which is one of the newest and mostly applied personality tests. Regarding the fact that our main focus will be on studying the relationship between risk and personality characteristics and since this relationship should be measured regarding different ranges and different behaviors of stock risk, the stock selected by the investors using fuzzy clustering and Sharp, Triner, and Jensen's criteria we have dealt with different clusters which have had different risks naturally. By using regression and multiple analyses we have tried to test the correctness of the hypotheses. The research findings showed that out of 5 characteristics mentioned in this model only two characteristics of extraversion and enthusiasm towards new experiences have shown to have a meaningful relationship the selected stock risk. Neurosis and personality traits, conscientiousness and agreeableness do not have a meaningful relationship with the risk of the stock purchased by the investors.

Abstract:
The effect of audit report lag on investors’ decisions has motivated numerous researchers to investigate factors affecting that lag. Most studies have focused on markets in developed countries. The informative value of audited financial statements decreases proportionately as the number of days it takes to obtain audit report signatures increases, because users will seek information from alternate resources. Moreover, audit report lag adversely affects the timeliness of financial reporting (Rahimian et.al., 2013). The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between using non-executive directors and audit report lag in the companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange. The sample of this study, includes 100 companies listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange during the period 2007-2012 and for processing and testing hypotheses, EGLS method is used. Abstract:
Tax is an important income source for the governments, so investigating a way to increase it is very important and to do so an accurate estimate of the income capacity and the existing sources is necessary. The most proper criterion to calculate and estimate its capacity, which can be potentially taxed, is the tax basis of different economic sectors. In this research we have estimated the tax capacity of the developed oil-exporter countries by using combined data for 11 countries in two periods of (2005-2007) and (2008-2010). The results of the estimated model
showed no gap or little gap between the potential tax capacity and the realized tax proceeds. Also the results for investigating the tax efforts of the selected countries in the time period of post-crisis and within crisis shows that despite the crisis there is a decrease in the countries tax efforts compared to the pre-war period.

Abstract:
In contrary to the past, organizations are operating today in a complicated and dynamic environment. It is too hard to keep and survive organizations in such a complicated and dynamic environment. Rapid and intensive changes happen in such environment. More environmental changes and complexity would lead into more environmental distrust while more environmental distrust would cause that the organizations need more knowledge and awareness on environmental factors so that they can adapt to environmental changes and transformation. Organizational learning is considered as an affecting and facilitating factor on strategic renewal . To this end and after identifying and localizing strategic modern constituents as well as acquiring elites’ opinions, research questionnaire was devised by two types of questions on strategic renewal and organizational learning and was distributed in research population (Saipa Industrial Group). After collection, the data was analyzed by SPSS and Visual PLS software. The results from such analysis indicate that organizational learning highly impacts on strategic renewal . Of seven sub-hypotheses, the impacts of four subhypotheses on shared vision, system thinking, participatory leadership and developing employees’ competencies were supported while the impact of other three sub-hypotheses namely organizational culture, collective learning and knowledge sharing on strategic renewal was not supported.

Farshid Yahyaei, Hamed Ahmadi, Seyyed Javad Tabatabaei
Abstract:
This paper presents a new hybrid intelligent method for meteorological variables prediction using fuzzy logic and wavelet transform. There is a new adaptive fuzzy wavelet packet neural network (AFWPNN) model which is proposed for air temperature and solar irradiance prediction problem. The AFWPNN model is a Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) fuzzy system in which the membership functions of fuzzy rules are replaced with wavelet basis functions which are known to have time and frequency localization properties. The number of input variables and also the number of membership functions can be determined using clustering methods. The AFWPNN model is trained using a gradient-based optimization algorithm for certain types of nonlinear time series. For instance fractal processes and the simulation results are found to be substantially more accurate than alternative methods.

Growth of the Gross Domestic Production (GDP) is discussed as an index of economic growth and development of a country. However, since this index is not a good measure in the determination of the citizens’ welfare, economists focused on an index which includes social and human parameters in addition to economic parameters. The best of these indexes is human development, and is indeed a kind of proportionality table by which countries are being compared in factors such as life expectancy, literacy ratio, health, food, and the real per capita income.

The major problem associated with entrepreneurship is the easy access and availability of capital, right knowledge and management of risk and these being the three reasons that discourage them to be entrepreneur. Conventional banking is not such a pillar of strength as its drawback is its relationship of debtor and creditor itself. To overcome these barriers we can use principles of Islamic banking, where the relationship is of partnership or investment i.e. taking joint risk. The concept of Islamic banking is based on interest free banking where the bank instead of charging interest they participate in their profits and loss.
